1. What is Pine Labs Bharat Yatra RuPay MTS enabled Card?

Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card is a prepaid payment instrument designed specifically for seamless, cashless travel on public transportation systems like buses, metros, and other mass transit networks where RuPay On-the-go (NCMC) is enabled as a mode of payment.

3. How does Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card work?

3.1 Card Activation:

  • Scan the QR code on the welcome kit and download the Bharat Yatra app
  • Complete the registration by entering first name, last name and link the Bharat Yatra Card with your mobile number

3.2 Load money onto the card -

3.2.1 Using Online Channels:

  • 1. Bharat Yatra App: UPI payment option available in the App
  • 2. QR Code: Scan the QR code present on the backside of the card with your preferred UPI app
  • 3. Bharat Connect Platform
    • Select NCMC Recharge as a Biller category
    • Select Pine Labs RuPay NCMC Card Top-Up as the Biller
    • Provide your last 4 digits of the card and mobile number linked to the card for validation
    • On successful validation, complete the recharge payment using the preferred payment option

3.2.2 Using Offline Channels:

1. Metro Stations & Bus Depots: Make payment to the customer care executive to top up the card

3.3. Balance Update for Card Load using Online Channels Android mobile users with NFC feature can update balance on the card by using Update Balance feature of the app. You need to tap your card on the back of your device by following the instructions on the app.

iPhone mobile users and users with Android phone not having NFC feature can visit the nearest metro station and use the AVM (Add Value Machine) or take assistance from the customer care executive to update the balance. At bus depots, you can also take assistance from bus conductors to update the balance.

3.4 Using your card for cashless & seamless travel:

1. Metro stations:
Tap the card at entry/exit gates of the metro station. Fare is automatically deducted from the card balance

2. Bus Depots:
Tap the card on the POS machine available with the Bus Conductor and get your bus ticket issued.

4. What is NCMC Balance?

NCMC Balance is the balance that is updated on the card as per FAQ 3.3. It is the balance that can be used to perform transactions at metro stations.

5. What are offline transactions?

Offline payments are transactions that allow you to conduct digital payments even without Internet connectivity. Bharat Yatra card allows you to perform offline transactions at metro stations, bus terminals and other places (refer FAQ 2).

6. Who can get a Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card?

Any individual can get the Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card

7. Is there any KYC process involved to get the Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card?

No, Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card is a PPI MTS card, and it does not require any KYC details. It only requires a name and mobile number for registering the card on the Bharat Yatra App.

8. Is there a limit on the card balance and usage?

Yes. A maximum amount in the Pine Labs Bharat Yatra card at any point is ₹ 2000.00. For exp. Commuter's card has a balance of ₹ 50.00 and they can only load a maximum value of ₹1950.00 further. Commuter will not be able to add any amount more than ₹1950 in the above scenario.

9. How often can I load the card?

Commuters can load the card as many times as long as the card balance is less than ₹2000.00

  • Bharat Yatra app

11. Can my NCMC balance be blocked in case my card gets lost / stolen?

If your card is lost or stolen:

  1. Immediately contact customer support for assistance or block your card through the Bharat Yatra App
  2. The Card can still be used for Offline transactions as per the available NCMC Balance. Pine labs will not be liable to refund the NCMC Balance

12. What happens to my existing NCMC balance if I lose my Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card?

The NCMC balance in the card cannot be blocked. Pine Labs will not be liable to refund this balance.

13. Are there any fees for the Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card?

Yes, there is an Annual Maintenance fee of Rs. 100/+ GST which will be levied at the end of every year.

14. Can I use Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card for non-transit payments?

No. Pine Labs Bharat Yatra Card is designed specifically for transit payments where NCMC is enabled as a payment mode.

17. How can I delete my Bharat Yatra account?

This is a regulated prepaid card issued by Pine Labs under its RBI prepaid issuance authorisation. To understand the account deletion process, please send an email to our support team at support@bharatyatracard.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include your full name, registered mobile number, and a brief reason for your account deletion request. Our support team will get in touch with you to guide through the process.

18. The fare amount deducted is not visible on the Bharat Yatra App immediately.

Please be informed that the transactions performed will be updated on the Bharat Yatra App after 24-48 hours of the ride taken. However, android users with NFC feature can use the Check Balance functionality of the App to view the updated NCMC Balance.
